Fees & Refunds: Courses and Training
No refunds are available for cancellations less than 7 days prior to training.
Cancellations, where more than 7 days’ notice has been provided, will receive a refund of course fees less a $35.00 processing fee.
A 25% rebooking fee will automatically be charged in the following situations.
- You cancel or reschedule your training for whatever reason with less than 48 hours notice
- You fail to attend your scheduled training
- You attend your scheduled training but have not done the pre-course work
- You reschedule your training more than once giving 48 hours notice
In the event that Assurance training & Sales is unable to provide the detailed training, you will be offered an alternative date with no penalty or a full refund of your course fees. Although we are required to provide this information to you, it is extremely rare that we would ever cancel your course.
Workplace / Onsite Training
Prices for workplace/on-site training are based on the number of participants detailed at the time of booking. The final cost will be dependant on the number of participants who undertake training on the day. A minimum cost applies to all workplace/on-site training should the number of participants fall below our minimum participant number of 10.
No fees apply to cancellations of workplace/on-site training more than 7 days prior to training. Cancellation of training within 7 days of training (but not less than 48 hours prior to training) will attract a $200.00 cancellation fee. Cancellation of training within 48 hours will incur a cancellation fee of $400.00
Cancellation of training on the day of training will be entitled to no refund.
Please ensure you contact us to requote should your participant numbers change.
Unfortunately, if you arrive late for whatever reason, you will be unable to attend the training session. A 25% rebooking fee will be required to book an alternative date. This applies to both public and workplace/on-site training courses. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start time of your selected course.
First Aid products may be returned for a store credit if undamaged and unopened, and in saleable condition. Store credits will remained valid for 6 months and may only be used for first aid products.
Please note that first aid competency standards do require a level of physical ability to meet the evidence requirements for assessment. These standards relate to the level of performance required to provide resuscitation and respond to an emergency situation where there may be a risk to life. You will be required to undertake activities on the floor. This includes performing two minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult and baby CPR manikin.
Due to the potential risk to health and safety where a nominated first aider, or worker with duty of care, does not have the ability to perform resuscitation and/or first aid to the performance standard it is not appropriate to issue a statement of attainment to students who are physically unable to meet the assessment requirements.
In cases where a student has attended a resuscitation or first aid course but is unable to meet the full requirements of the competency, we may wish to provide that student with a certificate of attendance, or similar, as an indication of their participation in the course.
If you feel that you have any current health issues which would prevent you from undertaking such activities, you must contact us prior to your course to discuss the options available to you.
Certificate Issuing Policy
For certification in your chosen course, you are required to attend 100% of your training and successfully demonstrate competence in all assessment activities. An A4 colour certificate (PDF) will be emailed to you following successful completion. You will also receive a plastic wallet card certificate detailing the training you have completed. This may take up to 10 days to receive. Please allow this time before contacting us to follow up. Should you require a printed copy of your certificate a $5.00 fee is applicable. This will be an exact copy of the certificate you receive by email.
Enrolment in this training requires participants to provide details on any learning or physical difficulties which may impact on their training outcomes. This may include any language, literacy or numeracy issues. If you believe that you require any educational support, please speak with us prior to training. If this information is not disclosed prior to your course, we may ask you to reschedule at a time where further support may be provided.
Refund policy for physical goods
Assurance Training & Sales will provide refunds under the following circumstances:
The item is damaged or faulty on delivery
The item is different from the description shown on this website
The item is different from a sample you have been provided or shown in-store
Requests for refund or replacement of goods must be provided to Assurance Training & Sales in writing outlining the reason for refund/replacement no longer than five (5) working days after receipt of goods. Requests made after this time will not be considered. Freight costs incurred for the return of items as detailed above will be covered by Assurance Training and Sales.
Items must be returned in original condition or full payment of the items will be required. Refunds will be made by Direct Debit (EFT) to a bank account nominated by you within fourteen (14) days of refund approval by Assurance Training & Sales. A request for credit may be approved in the form of an on-line coupon which may be used to purchase further items from our store.
Assurance Training & Sales will not accept requests for refunds or replacements for any one (1) or more of the following reasons.
You change your mind for whatever reason and no longer want the goods
You choose the wrong size, colour or style
You cause the damage or fault
You find the product cheaper elsewhere
You can no longer afford the goods
